Peoria: Illinois- Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor/Associate Program Director, Program of Med-Peds

The Med-Peds residency program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois is seeking a physician for the Associate Program Director (APD) position in the Med-Peds residency program. The Peoria Med-Peds program is one of the largest and most established in the country with 8 residents per year, and is known for combining innovative, state of the art clinical and educational programs with a resident-first, family friendly environment. The program is seeking a Clinician Educator with an equal passion for high value, patient-centered clinical care and dynamic, evidence based resident education. The APD will work closely with the Program Director in the leadership, growth, and vision of the Med-Peds program, and will join a large group of academic Med-Peds faculty practicing adult and pediatric medicine in the inpatient, outpatient, UGME and GME environments. Candidates must hold an MD/DO or equivalent degree; be board certified/board eligible for certifying examination of the American Board of Pediatrics/Medicine; be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois and be eligible for medical staff appointment at university-affiliated hospital. The Peoria Med-Peds program is committed to a diverse faculty and resident workforce, and committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at all levels of medical education and clinical care. The main inpatient training site is Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois; a 616-bed, tertiary care academic medical center with 11 residency programs and 6 fellowship programs, training a total of 270 residents. The outpatient Med-Peds training sites are a combination of Community Based office practices, Rural Based office practices, and a Federally Qualified Health Clinic. The JUMP Trading Simulation Center is a world-class facility with over 40,000 square feet of space providing the highest level of simulation based education and training, along with cutting edge medical research.
