Maine Medical Partners (MMP) Internal Medicine-Pediatric Clinic is seeking a part-time BC/BE Internal Medicine-Pediatric Physician to join our academic teaching team.  The Clinics are the primary outpatient-teaching site for Maine Medical Center’s Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program.  The MMP Clinics are the medical home for a culturally, socio-economically and medically diverse population.  The Clinics also serve as the primary medical intake site and medical home for newly arrived immigrants to the Greater Portland area.
This position is an excellent opportunity for physicians interested in pursuing a career balancing clinical, academic and community service roles. Opportunities exist for academic promotion and involvement in quality improvement activities as well.  The physician will need to work well in a team environment, relate effectively with culturally diverse patients, and possess strong teaching and clinical skills. 
·        The position is 0.5 FTE direct patient care and 0.2 FTE academic precepting of Internal Medicine-Pediatric residents, for a total of 0.7 FTE.
·        Includes instruction of pediatric, internal medicine-pediatrics, internal medicine and family medicine residents and medical students in aspects of evaluation/management of patients in a primary care outpatient setting.
·        Collaboration with the Attending group to distribute responsibility for didactic sessions, including completing evaluations on medical students and residents as assigned.
·        The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their teaching and service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic clinic.
