Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, a 630+ bed institution, is currently seeking a full-time or part-time Inpatient Staff Physician for our specialized inpatient oncology unit.
Our inpatient staff physicians’ team works in close conjunction with the attending oncology physician to provide day-to-day management for complex and acutely ill cancer patients. Inpatient staff physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT, and nursing. In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, inpatient staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, resident and medical student education, and clinical research.
The work schedule includes day and night shifts in addition to weekend and holiday rotations. A position as a full-time or part-time nocturnist is also an option.
Applicants should be board eligible/certified in pediatrics or medicine/pediatrics. Hematology/oncology training or oncology background is not required. Training is provided. Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.
