Cincinnati Children’s, is an extraordinary nonprofit academic medical center with unparalleled resources for comprehensive clinical care, research and education for treatments of rare and complex conditions to well-child care. In the 2018-2019 U.S. News & World Report survey of best children’s hospitals, Cincinnati Children’s ranked No. 2 among all Honor Roll hospitals and in the top ten of all ten specialties ranked.
Our eight primary care locations provide over 85,000 visits per year. We care for an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse patient population at our various sites. Two locations serve a primarily urban underserved population, one an underserved suburban population, and two a rural population. Additionally, we have three school based health centers within the Cincinnati Public School system. Each location offers opportunities for providers to serve as educators to residents and medical students, while also providing direct care to patients. The practices are collegial, maintain high standards for patient care, and provide ongoing opportunities for career development related to education, quality improvement, research, and advocacy.
The care of medically complex patients is garnering national focus and scholarly attention. We welcome applicants who find this patient population to be professionally rewarding. Our Complex Care Center (CCC) offers outpatient primary care for children, from birth to young adulthood, with complex chronic medical conditions. Our health care team includes care managers, social workers, a Doctor of Pharmacy, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive, well-coordinated care that addresses both medical and social complexity. The Complex Care Center, like our primary care sites, has been recognized by NCQA as a Patient Centered Medical Home.
